The law dated 11th February 2005 on equal right and opportunities establishes as an objective: accessibility of all public spaces by 2015. It is a major step as regards access for people suffering from a disability: elderly people, parents with strollers, the overweighted or other people who cannot stand and walk for long and so on.
In order to follow the process settled since 2005, we have developed Urbaccess, the first European exhibition on accessibility and universal design. This event aims to give a global look on accessibility, and to present what has been done in every sector.
During two days, some French and European companies specialized in accessibility, institutions and territorial collectivities will present their solutions, their know-how and the existing good practices.
Meanwhile, a program of conferences is organized to give the opportunity to every actor (associations, companies, territorial collectivities, etc.) to express their points of view, expectations and proposals on these fundamental issues.
